Students who applied for the McMaster Exchange Program for 2017-18 should be hearing about their results by March 31st from the International Student Services office. If you do not hear about your results by this date, please contact Jenna Levi, Exchange Coordinator, at

Once you have been nominated, be sure to take the next steps to prepare for your term or year abroad:

1. Follow any and all information in the nomination email, and contact Jenna Levi with any questions

2. Students are responsible for their course research and selection at the host school. However, it is important to set up a meeting with Christine Kawerau in the Humanities Academic Advising Office to discuss your potential course selections and ensure they fit well with your current program requirements. Even if you aren’t going abroad until the winter term, an academic discussion is vital as it can affect your course choices for the fall term.

3. Once you have had an academic discussion, you’ll complete an Academic Work for Year Abroad (AWAY) agreement. This agreement is necessary for Humanities students to be able to register for their exchange block at  McMaster.

When the time comes, you can book an appointment with Christine by emailing or by calling 905-525-9140 x27532.
